We are happy to announce that we have implementing a new portal system for DMLO clients. This new portal will allow you to use the web or your existing email client to receive and send files securely without applying passwords or encryption to the individual files.

How this works:

Receiving a file from a DMLO staff member. When a DMLO staff member needs to send a file to you they will email you a link. Simply open the email, click on the link and follow the instructions. The first time you use our new system you will receive a second email with instructions for creating a login and password. We are requiring passwords to ensure that the correct recipient gets the file. You do need to create an account in order to receive files.

We have 2 ways to send a file to a DMLO staff person.   You can click the link below to get to our new “File Drop” feature and follow the onscreen instructions. It will ask for email address, name and company so we can identify who the file is coming from, but you do not have to create an account to send files.

The second way to send files is to ask the DMLO team member you are working with to send you their personal “request a file” link.  This link will let you upload files directly to them. Click on the link, provide your login and password then follow the instructions. You can save this link to use again.

Files that can be sent. Any type of file can be sent. PDF, Word, Excel and even QuickBooks files as large as 10GB can be sent via the email process. If sending QuickBooks files please continue to send the portable company file format. Be patient, larger files will take longer both to upload and download. The files themselves do not actually travel through our email systems. The files are uploaded to the secure ShareFile servers and then downloaded via the links directly to your, or our, workstations. Only the links are sent via email, allowing for files to be sent securely without passwords or additional encryption. The files are encrypted and protected during the upload/download process by the ShareFile system.
